The first-generation Chevy Camaro designed in the mid-1960s, captured the spirit of an era, with its unmistakable style, appeal and performance. A combination of bold design and muscular, sleek looks, dramatic design and exciting performance, the Chevrolet Camaro Concept recaptures the spirit of one of the most popular sport coupes for new generations of fans. "The goal is to make the sport coupe relevant to younger enthusiasts while retaining its appeal to its current fans," GM said.
The low slung long hood, short deck and wide stance of the Camaro Concept bear witness to its performance car leanings. The exterior fascia and cockpit of the Camaro reflects distinct fender forms, inspired by fighter planes and some design elements of the new Corvette. Like any high-performance vehicle, the design elements are clean and aerodynamic, in tune with the performance-oriented function of the vehicle.
